Top Designers Show Their Creations During Fashion Week El Paseo™ 2016

Saxony Fashion Week El Paseo, presented by Palm Springs Life, returns again for its 11th year with a lineup of events that are sure to wow and entertain the most style-savvy residents and visitors. This year, besides a brand-new location, Fashion Week El Paseo boasts a rich program of art and music performances, turning the event into a real celebration of the arts.

Your evening begins with a red carpet walk with photo ops and a cocktail party in the elegant reception tent, where fabulous fashionistas can mingle and meet. An impressive runway show featuring the latest fashions crafted by well-known designers follows in the Big White Tent. As the largest consumer fashion event on the West Coast, Fashion Week El Paseo includes shows that represent the entire spectrum of design, from daywear and sportswear to couture and edgy. The events, spread across a week of varied shows, allow the public to meet designers, receive personal fittings, and indulge in a bit of retail therapy at trunk show events.

Each night offers a unique experience to suit a wide range of interests. The family-friendly Le Chien fills the runway with pups and professional models dressed in designer attire. This event is for a good cause, too — a silent auction at the end of the show benefits the Humane Society of the Desert. The Stars of Project Runway, featuring local favorite Michael Costello as well as other alumni, delights fans of the popular Bravo show and always showcases extravagant and edgy designs.

FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising presents its top graduating students’ debut collections in a highly anticipated show.

The ever-popular El Paseo Looks runway show features more than 100 looks from leading fashion-forward El Paseo stores with finds perfect for all aspects of the desert lifestyle.

Integrated in the final weekend of Fashion Week is the popular Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival, returning to the tents for the sixth year. Running April 8–10, 2016, this three-day event kicks off with a four-course luncheon featuring award-winning chefs preparing their finest epicurean recipes for 300 lucky attendees. Attendees can participate in interactive demonstrations by more than 20 celebrity chefs and experience the Grand Tasting with treats from dozens of outstanding premium vineyards and restaurants.
